Net-Working

It is well known that two is better than one, and a chord of three strands is not easily broken.  At Wozniak Builders, we believe in working together, because we know that multiplied efforts yield greater possibilities, opportunities, and rewards.  It has become our goal to establish a network of working professionals within our community - who combine efforts and abilities for the greater good of our community.

Wozniak Builders is newly developing such a network, namely the Residential Service Associates (RSA) program, which aims to connect construction related working professionals and businesses in the Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties.  Comprised of like-minded residential service professionals who share a passion and vision for combined community service efforts, the RSA will enable all participants to operate more efficiently by sharing products and services.

Firm Foundations

All great builders know that any well built structure is based on a sure and firm foundation. Without a solid foundation, no building can stand the test of time and all that it brings.  Foundations are established firstly, in order to provide the strength, support, and stability needed for the structural components above it to function and last.

There are many different types of foundations - suited for various structural styles and environmental requirements.  Poured concrete foundations, permanent wood foundations, and raised foundations generally comprise the most common types of foundations found under Florida Homes.

At Wozniak Builders, we strongly encourage you to do periodic property inspections - in an effort to identify any foundational failure as early as possible - because the longer foundational issues are left unaddressed, the greater the long term cost potential becomes.  When conducting such inspections - here are some key signs/symptoms to look for throughout your home concerning faulty foundations:

  • Fractures in Foundation
  • Sagging/Sloped Floors
  • Cracked/Bowed Walls
  • Improper Window/Door Function (overly difficult to open/close)
  • Spaces Between Wall and Ceiling/Floor
  • Wall Rotation
  • Displaced Moldings

Feel free to Contact Us with any structural foundational questions or concerns, we would be glad to help.

Finally, as important as structural foundations are, even more important are personal foundations.  Consider the following words of Jesus Christ describing their importance-

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock."
